Boise Police Department officers join other agencies at funeral for Utah police officer

BOISE, Idaho (CBS 2) — Boise Police Department were one of the multiple other law enforcement agencies, across the nation, represented at Utah police officer, Joe Shinners', funeral.

Provo Police Department told KUTV that Provo police officers were responding to an incident at the Bed, Bath and Beyond in Orem, when a shooting between law enforcement and the suspect started.

Shinners was injured in the shooting, was taken to a hospital, and later died from his injuries.

In a social media post, Boise Police Department posted pictures of officers from across the Treasure Valley.

They added that some of the pictures included Shinners' two brothers, who serve with police departments in Massachusetts.
