A mural to Jurgen Klopp is taking shape in the Baltic Triangle and is proving popular - with Reds at least.

The latest interactive art mural is located on Jamaica Street, at the corner of Brick Street close, to where the famous Liver Birds wings were painted.

The full artwork is due to be completed in the coming days, however the face of the Liverpool FC manager has already taken shape.

And the spectacle is already turning heads - especially among Liverpool FC fans and Everton supporters.

Twitter user @breakevenbrenda said she can't wait for a selfie with the Anfield boss.

She wrote: "Can someone take me to the Baltic triangle bc [sic] I want a selfie with the Jurgen Klopp mural and I ended up in Aigburth last time I tried to go there by myself."

Another Red was happy with the mural for cheekier reasons as @csh0rtyuk wrote: "A nice mural and a bluenose free Baltic Triangle. Why didn't we do this sooner?

District Liverpool also tweeted its appreciation of the new artwork: "Great to have the new Klopp mural on the wall opposite our entrance.

"Thanks to @baltictriangle team for organising and a great spot for all those @aBOSSNight regulars looking for a photo with Klopp #kloppmural #lfc"

The mural is a collaboration between Baltic Triangle and LFC which is currently being painted by street artist Akse

The creator behind the work is a street artist known as Akse - who was back at work today.

It is not yet known what the backdrop will be for Klopp however the design is due to completed early this week.

But some people are less than impressed with the chosen mural - in particular Everton fans.

Twitter user and obvious Toffees fan @paullamoefc wrote: "I won't be recommending Baltic Triangle to anyone" and @PJPOR tweeted: "I'll not be visiting again."

Meanwhile @BallysBoots said: "How to instantly alienate over half of the city. You couldn’t write it... {shakes head}."

Twitter user @MichaelTarpey1 wrote: "Why make a great area biased to one team, that shouldn't have anything to do with football. Have I missed something?"

When the Liver Bird wings mural was unveiled people couldn't get enough of the art work - with the spot becoming one of the most "Instagramable" places in the city.

The artist behind that mural was Paul Curtis.
