Around 3,000 outages reported in Davidson County as NES crews rush to restore power

Nashville Electric Service says flooding in some areas may slow down restoration efforts.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - April 6, 9:30 p.m. Update: The Nashville Electric Service said they have about 3,300 customers without power.

The majority of the outages are in the Downtown, Whites Creek, Nolensville Pike, Cane Ridge and White Bridge areas.

 NES said they have confirmed that 55 power poles were broken by the storms. These poles are being repaired, but NES said there is a possibility that more broken poles could be found as crews continue to survey damage.

April 6, 7:30 p.m. Update: The Nashville Electric Service said they have about 4,000 customers without power.

The majority of the outages are in the Downtown, Hendersonville, Cane Ridge, White Bridge, Nolensville Pike and Whites Creek areas.

 NES said they have confirmed that 54 power poles were broken by the storms. These poles are being repaired, but NES said there is a possibility that more broken poles could be found as crews continue to survey damage.

April 6, 4:30 p.m. Update: The Nashville Electric Service said they have about 5,800 customers without power.

The majority of the outages are in the Downtown, Old Hickory, Cane Ridge, White Bridge, Nolensville Pike and Whites Creek areas.

NES said they have confirmed that 45 power poles were broken by the storms. These poles are being repaired, but NES said there is a possibility that more broken poles could be found as crews continue to survey damage.

April 6, 2:30 p.m. Update: The Nashville Electric Service said they have about 7,800 customers without power.

The majority of the outages are in the Downtown, Old Hickory, Cane Ridge, White Bridge, Nolensville Pike and Whites Creek areas.

NES said Saturday’s storm broke over 40 power poles, which they are currently working to repair, but rain and flooding has slowed their process down in some area.

April 6, 10:58 a.m. Update: The Nashville Electric Service said they have 12,000 customers without power. The majority of outages are in Downtown, Old Hickory, Madison and in the Hendersonville areas.

NES said the storm broke 30 poles. Because of rain and flooding in some areas, NES said some areas may be slower to restore.

11:46 p.m. Update: The Nashville Electric Service said their crews have now restored power to more than 22,000 customers; however, there are about 30,000 customers that remain without power.

NES said the majority of outages are in the Hendersonville, Madison, and Nolensville Road areas.

Flooding in some areas may slow down power restoration efforts, NES said.

Previous: The Nashville Electric Service is reporting that they have been able to restore power for more than 16,000 customers.

However, around 38,000 people are still without power, NES says.

NES said the majority of outages are in the Murfreesboro Road, Nolensville Pike, Cane Ridge and Old Hickory areas

Earlier: The Nashville Electric Service is reporting that they have been able to restore power for more than 7,000 customers.

However, 42,000 outages are still being reported as of 8 p.m.

NES reports that the majority of outages are in the areas of Murfreesboro Road, Nolensville Pike, Cane Ridge and Old Hickory.

Earlier: As of Saturday afternoon, more than 50,000 people are without power in Davidson County after tornado-warned storms rolled through.

NES is reporting 54,778 people are without power.

As NES crews assess the damage and work to help the community recover from the storms, they’re urging people to follow safety precautions.
