Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have made a big new move that could drop a mahir hunt that they have no intention of cutting ties with the UK - despite an ongoing royal feud.

The Sussexes, who famously stepped back from Royal duties four years ago amid escalating tensions with The Firm, have welcomed Charlie Gipson into their fold as a communications executive. Crucially - Charlie is based here in the UK, signalling the roya pair, far from wanting to severe ties with Blighty after their well-publicised Royal rift, are keen to continue and improve relations with the UK public as they snap up a key UK-based staffer. Charlie will spearhead the role of Director of Communications, becoming the go-to for British media enquiries.

Meanwhile, across the pond, Kyle Boulia has been brought on board as Deputy Press Secretary and Director of Communications for US media, joining the Sussex's expanding team which includes the likes of former global communications chief Miranda Barbot, now VP of programs and media operations, and Ashley Hansen, who continues to oversee communications for the couple's Archewell foundation.

This fresh connection to the UK follows Prince Harry's candid admission about his yearning to return home. Speaking on Good Morning America, he shared: "My family and my life in California is as it is. I have got other trips planned. That would take me through the UK or back to the UK, so you know, I'll stop in and see my family as much as I can."

Harry previously returned to the UK to visit King Charles after the monarch was diagnosed with cancer. Harry is scheduled to return once again next month for a celebration of the Invictus Games.

A special service will held in St Paul's Cathedral in London on May 8 to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the sporting event, which was set up by Harry in 2014. The Duke of Sussex is believed to be delivering a speech at the event. It's currently unclear if he will be joined by his wife.

The couple have confirmed new filming projects as part of their multi-million deal with Netflix. Harry is filming a documentary looking at the world of the polo and providing a behind the scenes look at the sport whereas Meghan has a new cookery and lifestyle show that will show the "joys of cooking and gardening, entertaining and friendship."

However Meghan's project has already caused issues as it's said to have halted her podcast reprisal plans, and pushed them back into 2025. The Duchess of Sussex' return to podcasting was announced earlier this year as she said she would continue her "love of podcasting" and re-release her Archetypes podcast. However the podcast plans are "struggling to get off the starting blocks" according to a source.

A source revealed to the Daily Mail the “smaller podcast company is struggling to get off the starting blocks." Lemonada is said to be concerned about "scheduling conflicts" between the launch of the podcast and Meghan’s new lifestyle brand American Riviera Orchard.

Meghan's return to podcasting also included a reprisal of her podcast 'Archetypes', which previously had over 10 million downloads, and averaged almost a million listens per episode. When Meghan announced her new deal earlier this year, she said: "Being able to support a female-founded company with a roster of thought-provoking and highly entertaining podcasts is a fantastic way to kick off 2024. Our plan to re-release Archetypes so that more people can now have access to it, as well as launching a dynamic new podcast is well in the works."
