A Colorado Springs man is in custody following his arrest in a years-long police investigation.

Sean Pinion, 31, was arrested on suspicion of felony sexual exploitation of a child on March 15 following months of surveillance on an unincorporated El Paso County address, police say.

The Colorado Springs Police Department's Internet Internet Crimes Against Children Unit began the investigation in 2022 tracing the upload of child sexual abuse material to social media.

According the CSPD, the ICAC unit identified the address at which Pinion was arrested in December of 2023. Police conducted a search warrant on the address prior to Pinion's arrest on March 11, 2024.
