Bollywood actress Richa Chadha, known for her daring performance in the film Fukrey is facing the wrath of social media users for her recent comment over Galwan incident. This all started after the Northern Army Commander Lt General Upendra Dwivedi gave out a statement where he mentioned that the Indian Army is ready to take Pakistan-occupied Kashmir back. The actress reacted to the statement and ‘mocked’ the Indian army with a ‘Galwan taunt’, recalling the incident in which Indian soldiers clashed with Chinese soldiers in the Galwan valley in 2020. In the hours-long clash, 20 Indian soldiers were martyred and several Chinese soldiers were killed.

Army Commander’s statement

In a statement, Dwivedi said that they are prepared to take back PoK from Pakistan if the government gives them the order and will complete the operation quickly. And before that, if Pakistan violates the ceasefire, the answer will be different which they can not imagine.

Richa’s reaction to the statement

In her reaction to the statement, the 35-year-old actor wrote, “Galwan says hi.”

Richa instantly faced backlash on social media for ‘mocking’ the Indian Army and downplaying the sacrifice of the jawans in the 2020 Galwan clash between India and China. BJP leader Manjinder Singh Sirsa termed the tweet ‘disgraceful’ and wrote, “Disgraceful Tweet. Should be withdrawn at the earliest. Insulting our armed forces is not justified.”
