Mombasa governor Hassan Joho has said President Uhuru Kenyatta would not have spared his deputy William Ruto if he dared slap him on the day they had a heated chat at state house after the Supreme Court annulled the 2017 presidential election.

Joho said Uhuru is a man enough and would not allow the DP to slap him without doing anything, just like any other man will act in self-defence from an attacker.

Speaking in Gatundu on Wednesday, July 6, 001, as he is otherwise known, said if Ruto can disrespect the seating president, then he would spell doom in Kenya if given powers to steer the most powerful off on the land.

He claimed that Ruto's regime would be the worst administration since citizens will be mistreated by a president whom he described as a loose cannon.

"Nasikia William Ruto alisema anaweza kuchapa Uhuru, nani alimwambia Uhuru si mwanaume, ungejaribu ungetwangwa kutwangwa ( I heard Ruto saying that he can slap Uhuru, who told him that Uhuru is not a man, if he had dared, Uhuru would have beaten him to pulp," said Joho, who has been promised a Cabinet position if Raila Odinga's Azimio la Umoja forms the next government.

At the same time, the vocal politician told the second in command not to play the same jokes with ODM leader Raila Odinga, warning that Baba's lieutenants would skin him alive if he tried attacking the former prime minister.

"Kama wewe ni mwanaume jaribu kusema utapiga Raila tutakufinya kukufinya( If you are a man just say that you will beat Raila and see what will do to you)," he warned.

On her part, Raila's running mate Martha Karua warned people against voting Ruto as the next president of the county, describing the PhD holder as disrespectful in relation to the spat with President Uhuru.

She said that a short-tempered person could never lead the country well since he will mistreat common mwananchi.
