Govt: ‘Ignore Fake Social Media Advertisements’

The Bermuda Government warns the public about a series of fraudulent social media advertisements connecting MP Wayne Caines to investment opportunities.

A spokesperson said, “The Government of Bermuda is aware of a series of fake social media advertisements connecting MP Wayne Caines to investment opportunities. Please note that these online advertisements are fraudulent.

“The public is strongly urged to ignore these persistent social media advertisements, report them to the social media platform on which they appear, and contact the Bermuda Police Service to report any online fraudulent activity.

“For tips on how to avoid and report scams, visit here or contact the Bermuda Police Service.”
