Kenyans react to David Rudisha’s Twitter error

Olympic 800 metres Champion David Rudisha took to social media to congratulate the young boys and girls who took part in the just concluded World U-18 Championships yesterday, in Nairobi.

Unfortunately he mistook the word ‘’applaud’’ for ‘’upload’’ or maybe his phone auto predicted "upload" instead of "applaud" without him noticing. On a tweet made on Saturday evening, he wrote: ‘’I upload Kenyans for breaking the record of the highest attendance ever in #wu18Nairobi2017 #50,000! Amazing Kenyan spirit in athletics.’’

As expected, Kenyans on Twitter [#KOT] did not take this spelling mistake lightly.

They roasted Rudisha mercilessly. @wwechuli wrote… More Kwisha sasa! Kisungu kilikuja na maji kweli

@oluvaha posted… More Yeah applaud.... That makes you break the world record for best English speaker

However, a section of Kenyans came to his defense bashing those trolling the 800m World Champion

This comes after even global world leaders have made same mistakes on Twitter, latest being USA president Donald Trump with the infamous ‘’covfefe’’ instead of coverage.
