Regada Festival

Also known as “Water Festival,” the weeklong festival at Cavite City in Cavite province coincides with the feast day celebration of St. John the Baptist.

The festival’s name came from the Spanish word “regar,” which means “to water.”

FEATURED STORIES

Sprinklers are installed on a 1-kilometer stretch of road where revelers are doused with water.

Other activities include a coastal cleanup, painting contest, arts exhibit and street dancing competition.

Kadagayaan Festival

Residents of Davao del Norte province celebrate their heritage, multicultural identity and creativity in a weeklong festival.

Among the events are a tourism fair featuring the province’s must-see destinations, an agriaqua trade expo, beauty pageant and the Investment Conference, to be held in partnership with  BIMP-Eaga (Brunei Darussalam-Indonesia-Malaysia-Philippines East Asean Growth Area).

Sangyaw Festival

The heritage, traditions, arts and culture of Tacloban City in Leyte province take center stage in the festivities.

The festival’s name came from the local word “sangyaw,” which means “to announce.”

Sociocultural gatherings as well as academic and community fairs will be held, but its main event is the festival of lights.
